Celebrate Anniversaries With Style

As of this writing, my husband and I are headed out on a new adventure together. We both love traveling and have decided that a vacation is in order. Beyond seeking a new thrill or taking a break though, we are celebrating. September 13 is our wedding anniversary, so we are embarking on a getaway for two to a tropical destination. I am beyond excited to get away, celebrate, and relish all of our hard work! Honestly, I love my husband way more today than I did the day I married him, and I am so proud of how willing we both are to always put in the necessary effort to make our marriage the best it can be.

Alright, enough about me 🙂 Anniversaries are a highly underrated occasion, in my opinion. With marriages falling by the wayside at rapid rates, we should be going above-and-beyond to celebrate each year a couple adds to their history together. It is an accomplishment as another year goes by! We should encourage those around us that this is a big deal, and we are proud of them.

Beyond “hooray-ing” those couples around us for their milestone, we need to make sure to give ourselves a huge pat on the back. Set aside special time and plan something extra thoughtful for your own anniversaries. It is the one time you should definitely splurge (within your budget) because it is well-earned and an investment in your marriage. Congratulate and celebrate one another and the hard work you have put into it. Think of it as your year-end “bonus.”

Anyone have any fun anniversary celebration ideas to share?
